2024 Fees and Policies

Parent Participation
As a Suzuki institute, we are working to develop each side of the Suzuki triangle: student, parent, teacher. We expect each student under 12 to attend with a parent or other responsible adult. We do not want this expectation to prevent participation. Please check our parent support page first; then contact Erin before registering if you would like to discuss alternate arrangements for your child at JSSI.

Registration Fees (per family)

April 15 – April 30: $60
May 1 – May 31: $85

 Refund & Cancellation Policy

Registration for the Japan-Seattle Suzuki Institute includes a $50 non-refundable deposit per participant. If you must cancel your registration, notify JSSI in writing. All fees (less the $50 non-refundable deposit) will be returned if written notice of cancellation is received by May 31.

Applicants who cancel in June receive a 50% refund of fees (less the $50 non-refundable deposit fee per participant).  After June 30th, no refund is provided.

All refund requests are subject to JSSI refund deadlines, including those for teacher workshop registrants who do not complete the course prerequisites or the SAA audition requirement. Registrants who have not completed the course prerequisites and audition requirement by the first day of the course will be marked as auditors. Auditors observe the class, but do not fully participate, and the course is not registered with the SAA as completed.

There will be no refunds for missed classes due to faulty internet connections or last-minute illness.
